Firefighters from departments across the Northwoods experienced a different kind of training this weekend. "This is going to be a situation that we never usually run across," said Woodruff's Assistant Fire Chief Victor Gee. Several firefighters spent part of their weekend preparing for a situation that isn't seen often in the Northwoods. "We're going to be doing everything from aircraft firefighting to entering an aircraft and rescue, things like that," said Gee. Gee says to his knowledge, this is the first training of this type to happen in the area.
