After a three-year stalemate, the village has agreed on a number with the city of Pewaukee for a tentative new fire and emergency medical services (EMS) contract. That number is $1.361 million for a five-year contract, which includes a 3-percent increase yearly and an opt-out clause after 18 months. Administrative and inspection fees are also included in the contract number. The numbers are pending until both the city and village attorney put the numbers in writing and both the city common council and village board approve it.
