As ice conditions continue to deteriorate the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department is asking people to call 911 rather than try to personally rescue a person or animal in distress. On March 20, Carey Cregan called 911 after her dog, Halas, went through the ice on Little Lake inside Sunset Park in Sturgeon Bay.
