VIDEO: A local fire station opened its doors for the first time at its new location. The Chippewa Falls Fire and Emergency services department hosted a door-opening ceremony Thursday afternoon. The new station is located in the 1300 hundred block of Chippewa Crossing Boulevard in Chippewa Falls. The fire chief says there are many benefits to the new station, including a training facility for firefighters and additional space. The chief says construction began on the station last May.
