VIDEO: Construction projects are proving to be a major roadblock for the Edgerton Fire Department when responding to crashes on the roadways. Sunday's three-car-crash on the interstate in Rock County proved to be an example of just that. Four people suffered non-life threatening injuries. Edgerton's Fire Chief says it's been difficult, dealing with the eight miles of construction with concrete barriers on both sides.
He says their fire trucks don't have enough room to force their way through stopped traffic.
Edgerton Fire along with Stoughton, Cambridge, Milton, and Janesville have been working together to send departments from multiple directions to get to the scene as quickly as possible.
