Woman, dog rescued from burning Oshkosh apartment

A woman and her dog were rescued after jumping from a window of an upstairs apartment that was on fire Monday evening on North Main Street, authorities said. The Oshkosh Fire Department responded about 5 p.m. to a report of a fire in the 400 block of North Main Street, according to a news release from department spokesman John Holland. Witnesses said a woman and a dog were hanging from an upstairs window before jumping onto an awning for Salon Envy, 440 N. Main St. Emergency medical personnel treated the woman at the scene.
