Fire damaged a basement in a single-family home Wednesday night. Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue was called to the 100 block of Courtney Court about 10:25 p.m. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, which was confined to the basement. "There was some fire damage but more heavy smoke damage," said Assistant Chief Mike Sipin. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
