The Columbus Fire Department recently put into service new self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). This was made possible by a grant from FEMA which totaled over $170,000 with a local match of approximately $9,000. Captain Scott Hazeltine was primarily responsible for the grant acquisition. Four vendors presented their equipment which was reviewed by a selection committee, which in the end selected the MSA line from 5-Alarm Fire in Delafield.
