Multiple agencies responded to a house fire that broke out at a multi-level home in the 11300 block of Highway G just before 8 a.m. Thursday. Raymond Fire Chief Adam Smith said the tenant in the downstairs apartment was asleep when the smell of smoke woke him up. He opened the door to his bedroom, saw smoke, evacuated and dialed 911. Crews from multiple Racine County fire agencies and some from Kenosha and Milwaukee counties were on the scene battling the blaze, which reportedly originated in the upper floor of the multi-unit home.
