The Wisconsin State Fire Inspector’s Association (WSFIA) recently named Sun Prairie Fire Chief Christopher Garrison as its 2017 Fire Chief of the Year.
On Oct. 26, 2017 at the Annual Fire Prevention Professionals Conference in Green Bay, Garrison received the honor.
The Fire Chief of the Year Award is a direct result of Garrison’s efforts to educate the public, and promote fire prevention at every opportunity.
Garrison began his tenure at SPFD in late 2015, and immediately began pursuing an agenda of public education and fire prevention.
Among the long list of his accomplishments has been to teach each and every firefighter at SPFD that they are no longer just firefighters, but they are also fire prevention technicians.
