Like the countless signs he, and family members before him, created and painted in the Dells-Delton area over the years, Mike Brandt’s final sign is sure to leave an indelible and meaningful mark on the place he called home all of his life. In early September, Brandt and his wife, Sandy, headed off in their recreational vehicle for a retirement adventure of a lifetime, touring America while visiting the country’s numerous parks as part-time workers and residents. The couple plans to spend their winters at a state park in Milledgeville, Georgia, where they will serve as camp hosts during the winter months. But before their departure in early September, following one last appearance at the annual Delton Fire Department Block Party, Mike Brandt had one final sign to finish.
