A Mount Pleasant man has been arrested after reportedly kicking a firefighter in the stomach. Andrew W. Nielsen, 22, of the 4300 block of Danbury Lane, is charged with a felony count of battery to a firefighter, two counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and a misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer. According to a criminal complaint and news release from the Mount Pleasant Police Department: At approximately 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, Mount Pleasant officers responded to the 4300 block of Danbury Lane for an adult who was reportedly drunk, screaming and claiming he was going to kill himself.
