In an emergency, training can make the difference between an effective response and utter chaos. Waupun’s emergency response personnel are preparing for the former with a mass casualty drill Wednesday evening. The location is not being disclosed in advance of the event. Waupun Fire Chief BJ DeMaa and Waupun Memorial Hospital director of outpatient services/ER Diane Posthuma met recently to discuss the drill and its implications for future emergency responses, either real or staged. Emergency response training sessions are held regularly.
