A family of three must find someplace else to stay after a fire severely damaged a two-story house on the village's west side. Firefighters from multiple departments responded about 9:20 a.m. to the blaze at 4 S. Third St., Winneconne-Poygan Assistant Chief Al Andersen said. Two dogs were in the building, and one person was "slightly injured" while leaving. Investigators do not think the fire was suspicious but are continuing to determine the cause of the blaze, Andersen said. In addition to the Winneconne-Poygan Fire District, crews from Poy Sippi, Vinland and Omro also responded to the scene.
