A building is severely damaged after an early morning fire in Rice Lake. The Rice Lake Fire Department says crews were called to the fire at 508 West Allen Street just after 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning. When they arrived, they saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the building. 17 firefighters fought the fire for about a half hour before the flames were under control. The entire building has significant smoke, water and fire damage. No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
