Ex-Tichigan fire chief accused of embezzling 20K gets probation in plea deal

The former Tichigan fire chief accused of embezzling more than $20,000 from the fire company between 2010 and 2014 was sentenced recently, and the Tichigan Volunteer Fire Company is taking steps to ensure this type of incident does not happen again. “The Fire Service represents loyalty, honesty and integrity,” the Tichigan Volunteer Fire Co. said in an emailed statement. “Tichigan Volunteer Fire Company is an organization that strives itself on serving the residents of the Town of Waterford in the most sincere and positive way possible.”
