One person died in a Monday afternoon fire that burned a small barn, tin outbuilding and a couple acres of grass in Pepin County. The Pepin County sheriff’s office withheld the victim’s identity on Monday night, pending notification of family. Emergency workers were called at 3:03 p.m. for a fire with possible fatality at N7050 Hayes Road in the town of Lima. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death, the sheriff’s office stated in a news release.
