VIDEO: Almost two years after a near-deadly accident sent a Green County man to the hospital, he's finally back home with his family. Dean Walz was welcomed home to Albany Tuesday with a police and fire escort to his new house. In June 2016, he fell about 75 feet when a bucket truck's boom broke while was working for a tree-trimming company. The community wanted to show support for the man who had given his time as a member of the fire department for more than two decades. "Our local police chief escorted him into town, which was amazing. It was the welcome he deserved after everything he's done for this community," said Cheryl Walz, Dean's daughter.
