New Holstein Fire Department officials recently handed out checks to local organizations which assisted them with their recent Firemen’s Picnic. The New Holstein Boy Scouts do park clean-up and receive money from all the aluminum cans they collect—about 543 pounds this year. They also receive community service hours for assisting. New Holstein Girl Scout Troop 8157 and the New Holstein High School girls basketball program helped out in the brat stand. The New Holstein/Kiel Police Explorers provide overnight security in Civic Park.
