The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down in the Village of Deerfield on Thursday, Aug. 9. Dane County Sheriff's Lt. Krista Ewers-Hayes said at approximately 3:52 p.m., a citizen called the Dane County Communications Center and reported a possible tornado touchdown near the business park in the Village of Deerfield. Deputies responded to the area and were assisted by fire personnel from the Deerfield Fire Department, Cambridge Fire Department, Marshall Fire Department and Cambridge Fire Department, along with Deer Grove and Cambridge EMS units.
