VIDEO: One man is dead, and officials continue to search for another man after they went missing Saturday afternoon on Lake Wissota. According to Chippewa County Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk, the call came in Sunday morning shortly after 11. Kowalczyk confirmed on Sunday that a pontoon with a dog on board was up against the shoreline north of the hydro dam. The sheriff's department later received a call around 12:30 p.m. from a person reporting that a rubber tube had been found near the buoys at the hydro dam, upon retrieving the tube the person reported that a body was discovered attached to the rope of the tube. Sheriff Kowalczyk confirmed that the body was a 50-year-old White male from Minnesota. A 22-year old Black male, also from Minnesota is still missing. The Sheriff's department is calling it a recovery operation at this point.
