A fire that started in an attached garage spread to half of a home before it could be put out early Monday, according to fire department officials. Everyone was able to get out of the home in the 4800 block of Fuller Street when the fire broke out shortly after midnight, Weston, according to Fire Battalion Chief Steve Genrich of the South Area Fire and Emergency Response District. Two cars inside the garage were burnt up and the garage was a total loss, Genrich said. The fire spread to about half the house. It took firefighters about 1.5 hours to put out the fire, Genrich said. No one was hurt. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Genrich said.
