A Grafton condominium owner was displaced after the fire chief said hoarding made it much more difficult to put out flames that broke out Thursday night. Chief William Rice said his crews responded to a possible garage fire around 6 p.m, and when they arrived at the four-family unit, the fire had spread to the alley, and then to a car parked out front. The homeowner got out OK, but Rice said firefighters had to do extensive work, and the hoarding situation made their jobs harder. He said the materials in the house concealed where the flames were coming from. No injuries were reported, but the homeowner was displaced. Rice said the unit next door had some damage, and that its owner might be displaced as well. The two other units in the building also had smoke damage.
