The Sun Prairie Fire Department (SPFD) responded to a rollover and a gas leak on Wednesday, Dec. 12. Capt. Michael Seltzner of the SPFD said at 8:56 a.m., department personnel responded to the report of a gas leak in the area of 1911 Oakland Ave. Upon arrival, Sun Prairie Engine 3 and Car 2 found WE energies already on location and confirmed a two-inch gas line had been struck by a contractor. Fire crews blocked access to Oakland Avenue from both sides of the scene. Fire crews then went house to house to advise residents of the situation and evacuated residents in the 1900 block.
