No one was home when Randolph and Fox Lake fire departments battled a house fire in Randolph on Saturday night. Randolph Fire Chief Ed Hoksbergen said the fire at 121 Tamarack St. was a single-family rental unit. The fire department was dispatched to the home at 9:45 p.m. “It started on the first floor,” Hoksbergen said. “There was no one injured. There was no one in the house when the fire started.” The fire spread and damaged both floors of the home. Hoksbergen said they are still investigating the cause of the fire. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Randolph Police and the Dodge County Emergency Response Team assisted at the scene.
