An estimated $2.3 million Westside Community Service Building (WCSB) expansion project will go out to bid with a $100,000 option for an antique fire truck display. The remodel will accommodate 24/7 fire department service at the building with sleeping quarters and also add garage, kitchen, office and training space. Parking lot safety would improve by separating emergency service traffic from public traffic. Green energy features would also be added in the renovation. But for District 4 Alder Al Guyant, the sore spot of the proposal is the display for the Sun Prairie Fire Department’s restored 1927 Stoughton Fire Engine.
