VIDEO: One family is left without a home after a large fire north of Holmen Monday night. The call came in just after 7 p.m. for a house on fire on Moe Coulee Road off of County Highway V. Departments from Holmen, Onalaska and the Town of Farmington responded. Holmen Area fire officials say by the time they got to the scene, the home was engulfed in flames and was already a total loss, so they decided not to send firefighters inside the building. "For our safety, it's a surround and drown," said Assistant Chief Bill Bulawa. "I'm not going to put guys inside that building the way it was, no way. And shortly after, we had a roof collapse."
