VIDEO: A man in Bellevue was awaken by his working smoke detector after his house caught on fire Wednesday night. At around 11 p.m., Bellevue Fire and Rescue units responded to 2978 Tordeur Lane after a structure fire was reported. Fire and smoke was showing from the south side of the house. Fire units were able to control the fire in 20 minutes. Neither the homeowner nor the firefighters were injured. Upon further investigation, the cause of the fire was determined to be caused by careless use of smoking materials.
