VIDEO: Firefighters on Thursday morning, Feb. 22 were called out to the scene of a house fire near Mill Road and Venice Park Road in Village of Summit. The call came in around 4:30 a.m. When crews arrived on scene, they found a two-story home fully-involved in fire -- with flames coming from all four sides and the roof. The sole occupant of the home, including two pets, safely exited the house. The Red Cross is on scene assisting that occupant. A neighbor says it took an hour for firefighters to get water to the home because there are no hydrants in the area. Nearby homes were evacuated. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
