VIDEO: A handful of Eagle River firefighters work day after day in the cold to build an ice castle most winters. Now, a local coffee shop wants to say thank you. "It's important that we keep that community tradition alive and whether or not you're just visiting for a day or coming in for a week or you live here, it's really important to support our fire department," said Blend coffee shop owner Angela Anderson. Anderson also has family members working in the fire department. "My husband's been on the fire department for 25 years," said Anderson. "My brother-in-law is also on the fire department. He's actually chief of the fire department and my father-in-law has been on the fire department for our 40 years."
