Suspects to be charged in Wausau high school property arson case

Two men Wausau Police said burned down a shed at Wausau East High School are expected to be formally charged Tuesday in Marathon County Circuit Court. William Ritchie, 22, and Jacob Kerswill, 19, were both arrested Jan. 11. The Wausau Fire Department was called to a shed fire around 6 a.m. Jan. 10 at Wausau East High School. Police said the fire was arson. The shed was vandalized with graffiti just one week earlier. Ritchie and Kerswill are also expected to be charged with graffiti. The shed was located near some of the baseball fields by Coates Lane. It was used as storage for school athletic equipment.
