The fire department has ordered a new fire truck at a cost of about $500,000 after totaling a truck while responding to assist with a Pewaukee fire in October. The city of Pewaukee will share a reserve vehicle with Delafield until the new truck arrives sometime in July Delafield Fire Chief Paul Kozlowski said the town had to pay a $1,000 deductible and insurance covered the rest of the accident, which occurred at N13 W28400 Silvernail Road. Delafield's insurance will also pay Pewaukee $125 a day to use its reserve fire truck. Pewaukee will also be able to use the truck as a reserve if one of its trucks goes out of commission at any time.
