A structure fire that started in a ceiling fan on Wednesday night caused $13,000 in damage to a home at 2416 Taylor Ave., according to a press release from the Racine Fire Department. No one was injured in the fire. Firefighters were dispatched to the house at approximately 9:20 p.m., after the occupants reported a fire in their upstairs bathroom ceiling fan. Fire crews initiated a fast attack and quickly put out the fire, fire officials said. The fire was contained to the bathroom and bathroom ceiling joists. The homeowner and her family have made arrangements to stay with relatives.
