Five people are displaced after an apartment fire Sunday morning in Janesville. The Janesville Fire Department were called to a two-story, four-unit apartment building in the 100 block of South High St. at 11:43 a.m. for reports of smoke and fire in the building, according to a release. When they arrived, all residents were safely out of the building, officials said. The fire was found in the wall of a first floor bathroom, but damage stretched all the way from the basement up to the first and second floors, according to the release. One firefighter was injured, and required stitches to his arm, but there were no other injuries reported, officials said. The fire is still under investigation. Damage is estimated at around $100,000.
