A Green Bay man is thankful after police and fire crews came to the rescue of his pet. Wednesday afternoon, the man's macaw escaped from his home and flew to the top of a tree. The Green Bay Metro Fire Department brought in their ladder truck and allowed the bird owner to go up with one of the firefighters. Fortunately, the owner was able to pull his parrot into his arms and bring him back down safely. "It felt good to know that they were willing to help someone in need, I told them a thousand times I can't express how much I want to thank them for this," said Mike Czyz. The bird, named Cece, was rescued just in time. A storm hit just a few minutes after he was brought down.
