VIDEO: Some Eau Claire firefighters have started the move into a new station. The Eau Claire Fire Department is preparing for the opening of the new Fire Station 10, a new state-of-the-art facility set to open on Thursday. Firefighters began moving equipment to the facility last Monday and are putting the finishing touches on the station Monday night. The new building on Malden Ave. will replace the old Fire Station 10 on Birch St. and Hastings Way that has been open since 1949. Battalion Chief Joe Kelly said the project is an asset for the city. "I'm very happy and very pleased with the way its turned out," said Kelly.
