VIDEO: The Minocqua Fire Department debuted it's new a station this year. However, one room holds all the old items the firefighters couldn't let go of. Out with the old wasn't part of the new station plan for Minocqua Fire Chief Andy Petrowski. The chief showed off his new $2 million station this weekend that includes the fire history room. It brought people back in time highlighting priceless moments from the station's past. "Believe it or not some of the first material is vinyl and rubber which is a flammable material," said Petrowski. A lifesaving piece from 1926 takes the prime spot in the room. "We called her old faithful it was just the first truck and a truck that lasted a long time," said Petrowski. Old faithful and old photographs teach the community about Minocqua firefighters from the past, future and present.
