VIDEO: Authorities on Sunday released the identity of the man who died Saturday when the helicopter he was flying crashed into power lines and, subsequently, the Fox River in Oshkosh. The body of Jonathan D. Bahr, 27, of Platteville, who the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office believes was the sole occupant of the helicopter, was recovered by divers Saturday evening. Authorities responded to reports of the crash about 12:30 p.m. Saturday. According to eyewitness accounts, the helicopter struck a high tension power line that runs across the river and then crashed into the water. The helicopter sank almost immediately. Several boaters who witnessed the crash attempted, unsuccessfully, to render aid.
