A fire on the Belmark campus in De Pere prompted multiple agencies to respond including Ledgeview, Bellevue, Ashwaubenon and County Rescue. It happened today around 5:00 pm when a paper shredder was on fire in the mechanical room of a building. The motor had caught fire and while the fire was put out in the first ten minutes, very heavy smoke continued. With limited ventilation and windows in the room, a decision was made to request Brown County Sheriffs Air Boat which acted like a giant fan.
