Few details were available Monday about a man injured Sunday in a diving accident on Lake Wazeecha. A caller reported a man not breathing and lying on White Sands Beach, 5600 Wazeecha Ave., Grand Rapids, at 3:54 p.m. Sunday, according to the Wood County dispatch log. A Grand Rapids officer reported the man said he was tingling from the neck down, according to the report. A witness said the man was injured in a diving accident. The Grand Rapids Fire Department cleared a space for a helicopter to land and transport the teenager to Marshfield Medical Center, Grand Rapids Assistant Fire Chief Robert Piatt said. Fire and police officials could give no further information on the accident Monday.
