Multiple area fire departments were dispatched to the fatal fire, which was reported at about 5:30 p.m. The blaze was under control by 8 p.m. and firefighters were clearing the scene by about 9 p.m., according to a photographer at the scene. The house is located near the intersection of Dable Road and Road X. Authorities did not want to release the exact address pending the notification of family members of the victim, who was not identified. The cause was not immediately known, said Mukwonago Fire Chief Jeffrey Stien, who was on the scene Monday. An investigative team has been called in.
