No injuries were reported in a fire that damaged a condo-style apartment building Wednesday evening, according to the Janesville Fire Department. In a release, the department said crews responded around 6:20 p.m. to the 1400 block of Canyon Drive for a report of a fire in a garage attached to an apartment building. Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from the front of the building and someone still on the second floor of the apartments, the release said. According to fire officials, the fire was located in the garage to the rear of the building. Crews were able to extinguish it quickly and report fire damage did not reach beyond the garage.
