The Wisconsin State Fire Chiefs Association has honored Grand Chute Fire Department Fire Chief Timothy Bantes as “Fire Chief of the Year." The prestigious honor is presented annually to a Wisconsin Fire Chief who demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to leadership, innovation, professional development, integrity, service to the public, and contributions to the fire service as a whole. Grand Chute Town Administrator James March wrote a letter supporting Chief Bantes’ nomination saying "Grand Chute is a growing community with unique challenges. It takes a unique combination of services to keep the community safe and provide the around-the clock coverage it demands." Chief Bantes has met that challenge and continue to look at all means of public safety delivery not only for the present, but for the future as well.
