The Onalaska Town Board was in full agreement regarding a proposed agreement between the Holmen Area and La Crosse fire departments for equipment servicing. At its March 13 meeting, the board voted to recommend the Holmen Area Fire District Board Association partner with the LCFD to do mechanical work on HAFD’s vehicles and other equipment. HAFD Fire Chief Paul Menches and LCFD Chief Ken Gilliam have been discussing the proposal that could reduce HAFD’s fleet and equipment maintenance costs as well as reduce downtime.
