VIDEO: The Town of Greenville announced today their request to help in financing the construction and equipping of a new fire and safety building. The current building they use right now was build in 1968 and it is not meeting the needs of the service people that work there. One big issue is safety concerns. Cancer is the biggest killer for emergency service personnel and their turnout gear is currently too close to offices and general work areas. Leaving everyone open to contamination. They are also looking to have decontamination areas where firefighters can store their clothes and take showers before heading home.
