A three-alarm fire is now out at Beloit Box Board. Crews extinguished the fire around 1 a.m. Tuesday. The fire was first reported around 10 p.m. Monday at Beloit Box Board at 801 Second Street. The city of Beloit says one employee was inside the building at the time, but that person got out safely without being hurt. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. Flames were visible from the roof when Beloit firefighters got to the paperboard mill. They quickly elevated the fire to a three-alarm response. Thirty-three units from other area departments responded to help.
