Several area fire departments responded to a house fire Friday morning near Custer. The home is located on the 6900 block of Esker Road in the Town of Stockton. Crews from the Town of Stockton, Park Ridge, Amherst and Plover all responded to the scene. Portage County ambulance and the Portage County Sheriff's Department also responded. A firefighter at the scene said all the occupants made it out of the house and no one was transported by ambulance. The fire was put out around 8:30 a.m.
