Appleton firefighters were busy Monday morning as they battled two detached garage fires. The first fire happened shortly after midnight in the 100 block of E. Harris St. Power lines fell at the scene. The garage and the vehicle inside are total losses. The second garage fire was reported around 1:30 a.m. just a few blocks away, in the 700 block of N. Clark Street. Upon arrival, the garage was fully engulfed. The garage, and all the contents inside, including two motorcycles, a snowblower and generator were damaged beyond repair.
