A fire at Manitowoc Pattern & Manufacturing Co. Inc. Saturday afternoon resulted in smoke and water damage throughout most of the business. Manitowoc Fire Rescue Department was called to the business, 4315 Expo Drive, at around 1 p.m. Saturday for the report of smoke coming from the building, Manitowoc Fire Rescue said in a press release. When firefighters arrived, smoke was noted coming from the roof edge and closed overhead doors. When they entered the building, fire and smoke were found in the production area and quickly brought under control, the release said. Cause of the fire remains under investigation and exact dollar amount in damages has not been determined, the release added.
