Lucky for residents in Janesville, they have one of the highest cardiac arrest survival rate in the nation. According to numbers from public health and the American Heart Association, the cardiac arrest survival rate in Janesville is 45 percent compared to the nation's average 10 percent. It is one of the highest survival rates in the country, following Seattle and Tuscon. "It's really exciting to see those numbers knowing how hard our staff works at training," Janesville Fire Chief Randy Banker said. Banker says they can't take all the credit.
